Power Court Stadium
Luton Town F.C

Luton, UK

The proposal aims to deliver a new iconic 22,500 stadium for Luton Town F.C. alongside a major regeneration of the site. The development includes the relocation and de-culverting of the River Lea, which will run beneath the main entrance to the stadium. The opening of the river in its historic location will also provide new public spaces with views of the Grade II listed St Mary’s Church.

The site will include a new live music venue, hotel, approximately 1000 apartments, restaurants, bars and conference facilities. Relocating the stadium towards the town centre allows the football club to be at the heart of the community. This provides for a much more sustainable location in terms of transport and multi use facilities that will provide revenue, jobs, social activity and a community focal hub.

The stadium has a distinctive ‘halo’, the first of its kind. Inspired by the Hatters, this structure is suspended over the pitch and lights the stadium. It’s unique design provides even lux levels on the pitch and casts fewer shadows, creating an enhanced playing experience as well as optimal lighting for spectators and television.
